FREE CONSULTATION & AWARENESS CAMP, November 2017

On the occasion of Gurupurab, Cheers to Life Foundation organised free consultation & medical checkup camp on 5th Nov 2017 at Gurudwara Shri Guru Amar Das Ji, Ansal Villas, Satbari, New Delhi in association with Bala Pritam Cancer Care. Dr Mandeep Singh Malhotra along with his team spearheaded the camp, We thank Sadh Sangat for stepping forward for this noble cause and make this camp a great success and beneficial for the underprivileged.

HERITAGE WALK FOR A CAUSE, October 2017

Cheers to Life Foundation organised Heritage Walk For A Cause – Season 2 “An initiative to help people battling cancer” on 28th Oct 2017 in association with Explore.Excavate.Enjoy, Anatomy Lifestyle Fitness, Strand Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, Stay Ahead of Cancer, kivā, Purpose of the walk was to celebrate life and support those who are currently battling cancer. May patients and survivors attended the walk to break the social stigma attached to cancer. It was a fun-filled morning and renowned personalities from various fields attended the walk and explored the rich history of Mehrauli Archaeological Park.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL WITH YOGA, October 2017

“Life is Beautiful with Yoga” is an initiative taken by Cheers To Life Foundation in association with Strand Life Sciences and Stay Ahead of Cancer, with kind support from YogVandana, Anatomy Gym, and Narinder Bhatia to promote healthy living via yoga.

LIFE HOPE YOGA WORKSHOP – Press Club of India, July 2016

We organized a workshop “Life Hope Yoga” for cancer patients and survivors at Press Club of India on 3rd July, 2016, Sunday. The focus of the workshop was pain management through holistic therapies and to deal with survivorship issues. Renowned oncologists and doctors like Dr B K Mohanti (FMRI), Dr Deepak Jha (Artemis), Dr Rupinder Sekhon (RGCI), Dr Roma Kumar (Sir Ganga Ram Hospital) were the key speakers of the workshop. They addressed issues like cancer pain, post treatment follow-ups, treatment side effects, and fears along with other health related issues.
Highlights of the workshop were nutrition, spiritual healing and yoga to keep cancer at bay. Other speakers at the workshop were Yogacharaya Anil, Nutritionist Anupama Bindal and Spiritual Healer Kusam Aggarwal. They shared valuable knowledge to maintain a healthy balance of physical and mental well-being. Many people turned up to attend the workshop and gained information to improvise their medical condition.

VOLUNTEER MEET, June 2016

We hosted a volunteer-team meeting at CTLF office on 18th June 2016. Agenda of the meeting was to discuss the future endeavors and activities of Cheers to Life Foundation. Supporters and Volunteers gave their inputs and also took responsibilities for the upcoming events.

HERITAGE WALK FOR A CAUSE – Lodhi Garden,  May 2016

Heritage Walk for a Cause at Lodhi Garden organised by us on 8th May 2016, Sunday. The purpose of this walk was to celebrate life – overcoming cancer and to raise charity to help people battling cancer. A free health check-up and refreshments were arranged at the event. Mr Kuldeep Singh (Vice-President Delhi BJP), Swami Vishalanand and Ms Jaya Bharti (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan) were the special guests at the event. Almost 200 people from young to elderly participated in the walk including cancer patients and survivors. People expressed their support for cancer patients by writing messages of hope, love and care at the event. Very Inspirational words came from Swami Vishalanand as he addressed the crowd by stating that small contributions will make a big difference in the society in the long run. Mr Kuldeep Singh got very emotional by going down the memory lane as he lost a dear family member to cancer. Ms Jaya Bharti admired the hard work and efforts of Cheers to Life Foundation by giving her unconditional support.

TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT OF TINY TOTS AND KID’S BY DSTTA , April 2016

President of Cheers to Life Foundation Ms Dimple Bawa along with Ms Sukhjit Kaur (Advisor CTLF) attended table tennis tournament of tiny tots and kid’s category as a chief guest. The event was organised by Delhi State Table Tennis Association. Event started with a welcome note from the association followed by award ceremony. Dimple Bawa also said a few words to aspire young sportsmen. Cheers to Life Foundation was honoured with a token of appreciation from the association.

GROUP DISCUSSION AND VOLUNTEER MEET , April 2016

We hosted a workshop on Nutrition / Life After Cancer / Volunteer Team Meet on 10th of April’ 2016. We thank our speakers Dr Narendra Bhardwaj Oncologist (FMRI, Gurgaon) and Ms Anupama Bindal (Chief Nutritionist) for taking out valuable time from their busy schedule. Workshop was informative and interactive, and unfolded many chapters of lifestyle.

WORKSHOP FOR AWARENESS AND PREVENTION OF BREAST CANCER – India Habitat Centre, October 2015

We organized a workshop for awareness and prevention of Breast Cancer on 28th Oct’ 2015 at India Habitat Centre. The program started with lamp lighting by chief guests, doctors and speakers.
Understanding breast cancer made simpler by Dr Vinod Raina (Haematologist-Oncologist).
Self-examination techniques for all women by Dr Mandeep Singh (Surgical-Oncologist). Radiation myths and facts related to cancer by Dr Swarupa Mitra (Radiation-Oncologist). Balanced nutrition guidance by Dr Vaibhav Garg (Nutritionist). Health and fitness tips by Ms Sonia Bajaj (Health Coach). OTC skin and hair care products usage and guidance by Dr Gulhima Arora (Dermatologist). All about makeup by Ms Naina Arora (Makeup Artist). Motivational speech to deal with stress by Leut Rita Gangwani (Life Grooming Expert).
Event was attended by patients, survivors, doctors, VIP guests, volunteers and Cheers to Life Foundation members. Various newspapers, magazines and TV channels cover the entire event.

UMANG, October 2015

Umang was hosted by Fortis Memorial Resreach Institure, Gurgaon to raise awareness of breast cancer and to honour breast cancer survivors. Cheers to Life Foundation extended its support to Umang and FMRI.

PINKATHON, September 2015

Our team and volunteers to Life Foundation participated in Pinkathon Run 2015 held in New Delhi on 6 September at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. The motive of this run was to spread awareness on breast cancer. More than 2000 women participated in this run.

PINK RUNWAY RAMP WALK – Crowne Plaza, July 2015

Cheers to Life Foundation organized a Pink Runway Ramp Walk for Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute on 26-jul-15 at Crowne Plaza Rohini where 16 breast cancer survivors participated in front of the huge audience comprising VIP guests, doctors, patients, survivors and their families. The motive of this walk was to inspire, motivate the patients and to boost confidence in the breast cancer survivors to face the world.
Individuals from different fields and background participated in the walk where they made the event graceful with their walk. Participants received a token of appreciation from the hospital and also Cheers to Life Foundation raised charity amount of INR 50000.
